“This collaboration with PortraitXO from 2022 was an early experiment with realtime rendering.

I remember being extremely amused by all of the various dials for particles – I was setting birth rates, killing them, letting them die… such violent language for a gorgeous spectacle!! At the time PortraitXO was exploring collaborating with AI to create music, she trained AI with her sounds and voice, and AIV1 was one of the resulting outputs. In terms of the visuals… I loved guiding the particles to the beat of the music… it was like seeing sound.”
